Spark Bible Stories for Sunday, June 8 (Pentecost)

More about static electricity here.
Activity: The Holy Spirit made the disciples hair stand up (pg. 502). Do you wonder what that might feel like? Try this: take a balloon, rub it on your hair until your hair feels funny, and it will
stand up on its own. (Or you can try going down a long plastic slide with a tunnel next time you are at the playground.) The Holy Spirit is like static electricity!

You can review these stories in the Spark Bible* with your children any time. At the end of the story, there are some questions to think about; you can share your answers with your friends and teachers on Sunday or feel free to post your insights below.

The Holy Spirit  pg. 502 (Acts 2: 1-21, 36-42)
(Celebrating Pentecost and living differently because Jesus lives!)

Many Members, One Body pg. 542 (1 Corinthians 12: 12-31)
(Paul writes to the Christians in Corinth about how we all have different talents and we all work together to show our love for Jesus.)
Doubting Thomas pg. 492 (John 20: 19-31)
(Jesus proves to Thomas that He is alive.)
